Staying safe on chatsizzle
You're talking to strangers. A few simple habits keep it fun and safe.
Protect yourself
- Never share personal info: real name, address, phone, or financials.
- Be skeptical of anyone asking for money or moving you off-platform.
- Assume any photo you send can be kept. The disappear timer removes it from the chat, but the person you sent it to can screenshot or save it first, and no website can stop that. Anyone who claims otherwise is lying to you. What we do: they must hold a finger on the photo to see it, so it is exposed for seconds rather than the whole timer; we stamp their name and the time onto the picture before showing it to them, so a leaked copy identifies them; and we tell you the moment they open it. That deters; it does not prevent. Never send a picture you would mind a stranger having forever.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels off, tap Next.
Report bad behavior
Use the report control in any chat to flag harassment, illegal content, or anyone who appears to be a minor. Reporting someone ends that chat immediately and stops you being matched with them again. Reports are logged for review.
You can also send us a report at any time, without being in a chat. It is anonymous: we do not record your IP address or your session with it.
Emergencies
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. We are a small beta and cannot respond in real time.
Contact
The report form is the way to reach us. It reaches the people who run chatsizzle and nobody else.
